Argentum Jewelry opened in 1973 as a wholesale company. At one point we employed 7 silversmiths and our 4 national sales representatives took our products all over the country, including Marshall-Field & Company in Chicago and Georg Jensen in New York City.

In 1973 we opened a retail store at 3rd & Dunn Streets in the Coldstone Square and our wholesale business was soon overtaken by our retail business.

In 1979, we moved to the south side of the Courthouse Square into a storefront that is currently the entrance of the Fountain Square Mall at 113 W. Kirkwood. Later that year, we signed a lease to become the very first retail tenant of CFC, Inc. and would eventually move into a space at what is now Graham Plaza on the corner of 6th and College.

In May of 1981, we opened in our present location, expanding in 2001 and opening the gallery space in 2002. For over 35 years, we’ve brought only the finest jewelry to Bloomington because we believe it when we say, “Everyone Deserves Argentum.”
